Building Containers

Sometimes I need to take a moment. The truth is, I don’t always realize it until I’ve already bulldozed straight through life. I’ve been wrestling with what to offer, how to share what I know, and how to package information and resources without losing myself in the process.

Here’s the hard truth: as much as I hate systems and structure… I also desperately need them because your girl is tired. LOL.

I’ll organize my life by putting boxes into boxes into boxes, labeling everything down to the tiniest detail, only to end up drowning in all the damn boxes. Perfectionism dressed up as “organization.” Ughhh

I’m openly sharing this mess because I want people to know that yes, I’m human. Here kimchi-squatting with you, learning to soften my rigidity while also embracing the weird uniqueness that makes me, me. The truth is, I move slow. I’ll sit still and steady even when I’m pressured, until I get sick of my own stubbornness. And yeah, you have to laugh at yourself or else the whole thing feels too heavy.

It’s like staring at a pile of Legos. Examining each piece individually, trying to understand its purpose, instead of just…building. Ugh. Enough already.

So here’s where I’m at: I’m finally building the containers for my work. Not perfect, not polished yet living, breathing spaces to share teachings, resources, and how I interpret the world. I’m in my Bob the Builder era, tinkering and creating. Will it be perfect? Nope. Will it vibe with everyone? Absolutely not. And that’s okay. Radical acceptance is teaching me to lean into that truth.

The plan is to start offering tiered memberships (most likely on Patreon, because I don’t want to force anyone to download another program or app). Think of it like gardening: creating systems and processes is like building good soil, its freaking gold.

Here’s where I get stuck though: the tiers.

When I start mapping them out, I feel pressure to make each level have different offering is like stacking extra bonuses, adding more and more content, and suddenly I’m spread thin.

We’ll explore topics like saju (Eastern metaphysics), and I’ll share with you ways to read and interpret energies. For the spiritually curious, we’ll practice cultivating ki (life force energy) and strengthening our intuition. I’ll also share upcoming spiritual dates and ritual practices you can bring into your life.

I’m also being mindful of how I create these containers. Not everyone needs the same thing. Some people want deep ritual work, what I call action-based offerings, like sessions, candle prayers, and bujeok talisman. Those are intense, labor-heavy, and carry a premium price because of the energy heavy and time they demand.

But sharing teaching is different. Memberships a learning container designed to help you explore Korean folk spirituality in simple yet deep digestible ways. Think of it as opening a side door to my temple, teaching as a ritual and that doesn’t require you to step straight into the fire of ritual work. I want there to be different doors for people to enter.

And if you’re just beginning to explore your spirituality, my advice is: hold off on the heavy rituals. Build your foundations first. Learn the basics, strengthen your energy, and ground yourself then the rituals will have real roots to grow from.
